EUROPEAN DAYS OF LOCAL SOLIDARITY

In the second half of this year, we have dedicated ourselves, among other projects, to the organisation of the conference “Local governments, coasts, seas and climate change”, promoted by PLATFORMA (Network of European cities and regions that, with the support of the European Commission, actively participates in global education and international cooperation), and with the support of Euskal Fondoa and Getxo City Council. 

In the framework of the EDLS-European Days of Local Solidarity, the aim of the meeting was to promote Sustainable Development Goal 14, Underwater Life, to inform and engage citizens in the connection between local challenges and global goals, so we have had an interesting team that combined the worlds of academia, cooperation and sport.

From Linking Ideas, we participated in the management and coordination of the conference: starting with its conceptualisation and design, the development of its communication strategy, to the elaboration of its contents and communication supports, or the conduction of the meeting itself. Caring for and preserving the marine environment from the perspective of cooperation is an objective that resonates with our values, which is why organising this conference was of great interest to us.
